I have a couple of friends who work for HMP service and they were saying there is no dedicated web site for them... To be fair I was a bit surprised there wasn't!!     added 01 Sep 2007 but at last there is, in the shape of Prison Officer.Org.UK

I work along specials at my station and considering they dont get payed a wage for there services it says a lot about the people who do the job. I applied to be a prison officer once but never made me the grade. I have had a great respect for the brave men and women staffing this country's prisons ever since. Prison Officer.Org is a top friend and always will be!     added 19 Sep 2007

I find Police Hub to be an exceptional site, with a unique insight into the US Police services, just like national-PCSOs, it's in subSilver and has a clear lay out. They have the same Police Forum area as us and some truly colourful members contributing. It becomes clear when you log on how dedicated to their job they all are when you see their caption "Staying alive is not a competition, it is Survival. There is only ONE option ! LIVE !" Prison Officer.Org is a great site that gives a voice to a hard-working bunch of people in one of the most demanding Justice roles.
