Right I like my Crimbo Tree with a few lights OK.
But what is it with the annual power overload with whole streets trying to out do each other to have the biggest display of tat around.
Before long you will see them in B and Q buying up inflatable snow men and 15ft Santa’s complete with musical angles.
What does motivate these people it looks total crap.
I have a neighbour who plans his assault on the winter darkness from July
Last year he even sent around notices advising when they would be turned on...
When we met up in the local on Christmas morning for a pint he asked me what I liked most about the festive season
I told him
"New year’s day when he didn’t turn on his naff display”
Funny he doesn’t speak anymore!

For once in my dreary life i am looking forward to crimbo, my grandson will be 1 month old, so no doubt i will spend money without saying " what a bloody waste of time and money" I can see this lad getting whatever he wants in life!!

All the commercialization of it, it starts about August. So this year I'm off Ski-ing from 23/12/07 to 06/01/08 so it should be over by the time I get back

I like christmas, It great kids are being slowly wound up by their gran and will no doubt be sick with excitment and we usually fill the house with food! Very Happy

Plus I have a load of time off around crimbo... have to work the 24th and 31st Rolling Eyes

but other than that it time at home! Laughing

And boy does it cost i have two teenage kids and they want all the name brands and all the latest stuff, as a parent you want to give them the best so you do.
